This would require multiple WAN connections first. These can be different types of connections, such as broadband, 4G/5G, fiber, or satellite, depending on your needs and availability. Once the connections are set up, the WAN Aggregation software can distribute traffic across these connections based on certain criteria such as the current load on each connection, available bandwidth, and latency, among others. This allows the WAN Aggregation software to distribute traffic evenly among the available connections to have maximum efficiency.
In addition to distributing Internet traffic across connections, WAN Aggregation can apply data compression and optimization techniques to maximize data throughput and reduce latency. This helps to improve connection performance especially when sending large amounts of data over the network. Another important aspect of WAN Aggregation is its failover capabilities. If any of the connections fail or experience problems, the WAN-Aggregation software can automatically detect it. Then the traffic is automatically switched to other available and working connections. This minimizes any downtime.
WAN Aggregation can be managed and monitored from a central location. This allows network administrators to monitor the status of each WAN connection, analyze traffic, track statistics and make configuration changes as needed. It provides a holistic view of connections and enables effective management.

With bonding different WANs – think 4G, Fiber, VDSL – are combined so that a larger bandwidth can be realized. The difference with CA is that with that technique the router can simultaneously be connected to 2 or more 4G/5G frequency bands or channels of the mobile network of 1 mobile network operator.
