ATEX tablets are explosion-proof tablets. These are designed to produce no sparks no matter what happens to the device. This prevents the tablets from causing explosions in environments with a high concentration of gas or dust (zone 1/21 or zone 2/22). ATEX Tablets are used in companies where large concentrations of flammable gas or dust are continuously or regularly present. Consider the oil and gas, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. But also, for example, in soft drink producers or beer breweries, which use gases to disinfect bottles or to produce their beverages. The biggest difference between an ATEX tablet and a regular tablet is the battery. This is because it poses the greatest risk of explosion due to the possibility of sparks.
