The auction of Dutch 5G frequencies has been postponed again. According to a spokesman for the National Digital Infrastructure Administration, the auction is not going to take place this year in any case. Unfortunately, no date has yet been announced when the auction does take place.
There are noises in the market that the Netherlands will now fall behind surrounding countries and lose its top position in mobile networks.
The major Dutch providers Odido (formerly T-Mobile), KPN, and Vodafone are balking at the delay but at the same time stress that the auction should not be rushed.
