Peplink Balance 305
The Peplink Balance 305 is an enterprise Dual-WAN router that is particularly suited for environments where fast, reliable and stable mobile Internet is required. This router is designed for 50 to 500 users.
Load Balancing
Increase network data rates, reliability and flexibility, and reduce connectivity costs with Peplink Internet Load Balancing technology. The Peplink Balance 305 can distribute traffic from multiple Internet connections and router data using seven intelligent algorithms:
- Lowest Latency; Get fast response time when loading applications
- Enforced; Limit outbound traffic to a specific connection
- Persistence; No impediments to data traffic
- Least Used; Choose the best connection + bandwidth
- Weighted Balance; Distribute traffic across multiple connections
- Priority; Route traffic to a preferred connection
- Overflow; Redirect traffic when the connection has insufficient bandwidth
High Availability
If a company needs a connection that absolutely must not go down, two routers can be put in High Availability mode. In this mode, 1 router is on standby and takes over from the other router when needed.
Drop-in mode and LAN bypass
Thanks to Drop-in Mode, there is no need to modify the existing network to integrate the Peplink Balance 305. This allows the Peplink Balance to be easily placed in an existing network, such as behind a firewall.
When the router is without power for any reason, the LAN Bypass ensures that the router is “redirected” to an underlying firewall via the first LAN port, so that the old existing network can resume its tasks. In this process, the Balance acts as a kind of network cable.
WAN Failover
This router has WAN Failover. This means that it switches from one connection to another if the primary connection fails. In this way the router provides an extremely reliable and flexible connection.
VPN support
The Peplink Balance 305 supports VPN connections. The load balancing here ensures a secure and stable VPN tunnel. Because the bandwidth is distributed among the available Internet connections, the VPN connection is maintained even if one of the connections is lost. With a VPN throughput of 150 Mbps, there is an excellent connection speed.
AP Controller
The AP Controller makes it easy to manage the Peplink’s wireless network. With this low-threshold interface, reports and detailed event logs can be viewed. It can also be used to set up a WiFi hotspot for the customer. This can be done with the Captive Portal feature of the controller. This allows you to easily define things like connection speed and data usage limits.
SpeedFusion
The Peplink Balance 305 supports SpeedFusion, a unique technology that allows internet connections from different providers to be combined. This ensures higher bandwidth. When a connection goes down, the Balance 305 automatically switches to another connection.
