Peplink MAX HD4 MBX 5G
The Peplink Max HD4 MBX 5G is an industrial mobile quad-powerhouse with redundant SIM slots and multi-radio capabilities that delivers speed, reliability and coverage by combining the best of 5G and LTE. The MAX HD4 is a very comprehensive mobile 5G router with 3 Gigabit WAN ports and 4 built-in 5G modems (total of 8 SIM slots). In addition, this router has 8 PoE + ports to power, for example, IP phones, cameras and access points. For wireless connections, 802.11ac WiFi is available with speeds up to 1166 Mbps. Optionally, the MAX HD4 MBX can be expanded with the Peplink SIM injector or the special HD4 expansion module with 4 additional 5G modems and 16 QMA antenna connectors.
Special design for Vehicles
Its compact form allows the MBX 5G to be used in a wide variety of situations, such as vehicles, vessels and branch networks. Several features of the MAX HD4 MBX 5G are specifically designed for mobile applications in vehicles. For example, the Ignition Sensing feature lets the router turn on automatically as soon as the engine is started. If the vehicle is parked, the time can be set after which the MAX HD4 MBX 5G automatically turns off. This prevents the vehicle’s battery from being drained and prevented from driving.
SpeedFusion
Like most Peplink routers, the Peplink MAX HD4 MBX 5G features a unique VPN technology called SpeedFusion. This patented VPN technology from Peplink is specifically designed for multi-WAN environments. Unlike standard routers, a Speedfusion router can stack the bandwidth of all WAN connections. This results in a network with extra high speed, reliability and high security. The VPN connection is stable and data is secured with military-grade 256-bit AES encryption.
